Rose M. La Grange, 60, longtime resident of Iowa City, passed away Monday, August 21,

A time for family and friends to verb and celebrate Rose's life will be held from p.m., Saturday, September 2nd at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa Town where a time of sharing will begin at 4 p.m. 

Rose Marie La Grange was born June 6, , in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter of Joseph K. and Irene M. (Plotz) La Grange.  After graduating high college she attended the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Iowa and has resided in Iowa City since.  Rose has worked several jobs throughout her life, always with the motivation to better the lives of those around her.  She has worked for many years at the University of Iowa Hospitals as a clerk, and previously at Mercy Hospital and the Iowa City Community School District to identify a few.

She was the vibrant, cheerful life of the party!  Rose was a woman of compassion and genuine kindness who loved helping others and never met a stranger and when she did take time to herself, she enjoyed that hour

Stanley Wilkinson, age 73 of Olds, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 9, , at the Wapello Specialty Care Center in Wapello, Iowa.

A time celebrating Stanley’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, , from 10 am till 1 pm at the Olds Metropolis Park, concluding with Military Honors at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his honor with these being sent for his family to Terri Riggan, Hwy. 1 SW, Iowa Urban area, IA

His family includes his wife, Janice; daughter and her husband, Terri and Chad Riggan; son and his wife, Ralph and Shelly Wittenberg; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and his brother, Ralph and nephew. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald and siser-in-law, Kathy.
