Muni Long Reveals Separation From Husband Of 9 Years: “I Don’t Have Period For Drama”

Muni Long is opening up about the complete of her nine-year marriage to husband Raysean Hairston, revealing that the two have separated.

During an interview on Real 92.3’s The Cruz Show, the songwriter shared that her unused album, Revenge, deep dives her personal love life, feeling like pages from her diary. When asked about closing track “Ruined Me,” the songstress revealed that her split largely inspired the mid-tempo record.

“I always pull from real experiences because I’m writing from my unique perspective. I can only talk about what I know. But this is the first time I’m putting my real life in it. It’s no secret…I’ve been married for nine years…it just didn’t work out, you know?”

The Humor & Harmony performer goes on, “I don’t have time for drama, I don’t possess time for nonsense. This is one of the most amazing times in my life, and if you can’t celebra

Muni Long is back. The Grammy winner has returned with “Made for Me,” her first proper single in a year, via Supergiant Records/Def Jam Recordings. Long co-wrote the track with Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Jordan XL.

Nostalgic and sickly sweet, “Made For Me” is a tender piano ballad where Long expresses her devotion for her partner, whom she refers to as a twin, and affirms their compatibility.

“Nobody knows me like you do / Nobody don’t love me quite like you can / Can’t even decline it / Every noun I try it / One look in my eyes, you know I’m lying,” Long sings.

Long was first seen in the studio with Cox and Dupri in May 2023. The session also included Grammy-winning songwriter and producer, Johntá Austin.

“The last not many days me @therealjohntaaustin and @bryanmichaelcox been in the studio with @munilong and we coming for all the radio slots,” Dupri wrote on Instagram.

“Made for Me” is Long’s first single since releasing her 2022 debut album,Public Displays of Affection
