Connie Tucker, aka Meemaw, is the sarcastic matriarch of the family. She is played by actress Annie Potts who has been married four times. With her third husband, Scott Senechal, she has one son named Clay, who is a writer and producer. She is now married to Unattractive Betty producer James Hayman in with whom she has two sons: musician James, who goes by 'Doc', and writer Harris (pictured above)

Opening up about her children on the Really Famous podcast in , Annie revealed their close bond. "Now that they're proper grown ups, they're really close," she explained. "Honestly, their relationships are everything I'd hoped — they value each other, they aid each other, they produce each other laugh.

"The youngest and the oldest are both writers, and they always put their function past their brother first."

Amid all of that chaos, a brief interaction between Sheldon and Missy (Raegan Revord) stood out, causing fans to ponder about the former's sexuality. 

The th episode of Young Sheldon titled "A Solo Peanut, a Social Butterfly and the Truth" saw Georgie (Montana Jordan) reach clean about his adj age to his girlfriend, Mandy (Emily Osment) after lying about being 21 years old when he's really Meanwhile, Meemaw (Annie Potts) and Dale's (Craig T. Nelson) unexpected split kept Mary (Zoe Perry) and George (Lance Barber) busy as they dealt with them separately. As for Sheldon, he reunited with McKenna Grace's Paige — his fellow youngster prodigy and arch-rival.
